Pacific Curling Event:
Pacific Men's and Women's Curling Championship's
Taiwan, China(December 2-7)
Hugh Millikin, formerly from Ottawa and Vancouver, will be making his 15th appearence at the World Curling Championship's in Lowell, Mass. USA after winning the Pacific Men's title last week with a 6-3 win over Japan in the final. Japan also gets the nod to the World's.
It was Millikin's 7th Pacific Championship win, the last coming in 1997. He was a winner of the
Canadian Mixed Championship in 1986, playing 2nd for Dave Van Dine, out of Ottawa.
Japan's Yukako Tsuchiya defeated China's Bingyu Wang in the final 10-5. Both will represent the Pacific Division at the World's in Grande Prairie, Alberta in late March.
