The top-ranked teams in the 2004-05 rankings will qualify for the 2005 Canadian Curling Trials to determine Canada's representatives at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.
The additional women's Trials berths will come from the following:
2004 Canada Cup East (new event)
2004 Canada Cup West (new event)
2005 Canada Cup and 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts

Sherry Middaugh, 2003 Canada Cup champion
Colleen Jones, 2003 Scott Tournament of Hearts champion
Sherry Anderson, runner-up to Colleen Jones at the 2004 Canada Cup
Marie-France Larouche, runner-up to Colleen Jones at the 2005 Scott Tournament of Hearts
Shannon Kleibrink, 2003-04 Canadian Team Ranking leader
